Helen Thomas, the legendary White House reporter who paved the way for female journalists covering politics, will retire following a firestorm over comments she made about Jews in Israel.
On Monday, Hearst News Service, her latest employer, announced the immediate retirement of Thomas….
…At his daily briefing, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs on Monday rebuked the comments, calling them “offensive and reprehensible.”
“She should and has apologized,” Gibbs said. “Obviously, those remarks do not reflect, certainly, the opinion of most of the people here and certainly not of the administration.”

Come on, if you haven’t smelled the anti-Semitism in the air, you’re not really breathing. Haven’t you noticed the tides gently changing?

Our media is business as usual; forming, rather than reporting news, to create public opinion because we can’t be trusted to form our own points of view.

No one from party lines (even the Libertarians in the hills) would call me their own sweet boy; and perhaps, on that basis I can smell the bull, well let’s say the bologna in all their platforms.

When I was a kid I remember news on television was astoundingly dull because all they gave you was dry, boring facts. Oh how I long to hear those once again. I have an opinion based on the facts that I am able to collect, and that is, don’t trust the media.
